Business To Business, Amaravati, 20th May, 2026: The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday approved the allotment of more than 800 acres of land in Vizianagaram district to Reliance Industries Limited at a 25 per cent discounted rate for setting up a giga-scale AI Data Centre and Cable Landing Station.
According to a government order issued by Bhaskar Katamneni, the project involves a proposed cumulative investment of Rs 1.08 lakh crore.
The order stated that 854.97 acres of land would be allotted for the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Data Centre (AIDC) along with a Cable Landing Station (CLS), a critical infrastructure component for high-capacity international data connectivity.
Katamneni also directed the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and the Vizianagaram district administration to identify an additional acre of land suitable for the Cable Landing Station.
The proposed project is expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a major technology and digital infrastructure hub.
