BGR Energy Systems net loss widens to Rs 770.59 cr in Mar qtr

Business To Business, New Delhi, 25th May, 2026:   BGR Energy Systems on Monday reported a sharp widening of its consolidated net loss for the quarter ended March 2026, mainly due to higher expenses and a steep decline in income.
The company posted a net loss of ₹770.59 crore during the January–March quarter, compared with a loss of ₹332.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year, according to an exchange filing.
The company’s total income also declined substantially during the quarter:

  • January–March 2026: ₹119.91 crore
  • January–March 2025: ₹317.12 crore
The results indicate significant financial pressure on BGR Energy Systems, with falling revenues and rising costs adversely affecting profitability.
The company operates in sectors linked to:
  • Power projects
  • Engineering and construction
  • Industrial systems and equipment
The widening losses may reflect challenges such as weaker project execution, lower order inflows, cost escalation, or broader stress in infrastructure and energy-related businesses.
