CNG price hiked by Rs 2 per kg

Business To Business, New Delhi, 26th May, 2026:    Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in the national capital were increased by ₹2 per kilogram on Tuesday, marking the fourth hike in less than two weeks.
According to Indraprastha Gas Limited, the revised retail price of CNG in New Delhi now stands at ₹83.09 per kg.
This latest revision brings the cumulative increase since May 15 to ₹4 per kg.
The repeated hikes are expected to affect:

  • Daily commuters using CNG vehicles
  • Public transport operators
  • Auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers
  • Household budgets indirectly through transportation costs
Frequent fuel price increases often influence transportation expenses and can have a broader impact on inflation and urban commuting costs in India.
