Delivery launches over 1,000 rest facilities for delivery associates

Business To Business, Mumbai, 15th June, 2026:   Delhivery on Monday announced the launch of a nationwide network of more than 1,000 dedicated rest facilities for delivery personnel under an initiative called "Vishram".
The facilities will be established across nearly 600 cities and towns in India, covering major metropolitan centres as well as emerging markets.
According to the company, the rest facilities are intended to support the well-being of delivery workers and will be available regardless of the platform or employer they work for.
The initiative is open to personnel associated with:

  • E-commerce companies
  • Quick-commerce platforms
  • Food delivery services
  • Courier and logistics operators
  • Other delivery-based businesses
Locations covered
The facilities are being rolled out in cities including:
  • Delhi
  • Hyderabad
  • Mumbai
  • Pune
  • Ahmedabad
  • Jaipur
  • Lucknow
and hundreds of other locations across the country.
Prashant Gazipur said delivery associates often work in challenging conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and long hours on the road, while lacking access to basic roadside infrastructure.
He noted:
"As the backbone of India's digital commerce, delivery associates routinely navigate highly demanding conditions, from extreme weather to a deficit of essential roadside infrastructure. Through the 'Vishram' initiative, we are actively addressing this structural gap."
The initiative reflects increasing attention to the welfare of gig and logistics workers who play a crucial role in India's rapidly expanding digital commerce ecosystem. By creating shared rest infrastructure accessible across platforms, Delhivery aims to improve working conditions for delivery personnel irrespective of which company they work for.
