Business To Business, New Delhi, 21st July, 2026: Ashok Leyland expects the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) market to register single-digit growth in the current financial year, with demand remaining resilient despite headwinds arising from the conflict in West Asia.
Speaking to the media, Ashok Leyland President (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Sanjeev Kumar said the recent diesel price hikes had initially affected demand, but the market has since stabilised.
"Growth in the first half of the fiscal is expected to be stronger. However, in the second half, the growth rate will moderate due to the higher base effect. Overall, the domestic commercial vehicle market should witness single-digit growth this fiscal," Kumar said.
