FSSAI imposes product ban on Vatave Healthcare, Global Healthfit Retail over misleading claims

Business To Business, New Delhi, 30th July, 2026:   The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has imposed restrictions on Vatave Healthcare and Global Healthfit Retail India Pvt Ltd over misleading claims related to their nutraceutical products.
The food safety regulator prohibited Vatave Healthcare from manufacturing and selling its 'Folineuro Syrup', stating that the company made misleading claims that the product could improve brain functioning.
FSSAI also imposed restrictions on the sale of Global Healthfit Retail India Pvt Ltd's 'Neuherbs True Vitamin', citing the use of a misleading trade name.
The regulator said the action was taken to prevent consumers from being misled by claims and branding that do not comply with food safety and labelling regulations governing nutraceutical products.
The move is part of FSSAI's ongoing efforts to ensure that food and nutraceutical products marketed in the country adhere to prescribed standards and do not make unsubstantiated health claims.
