Business To Business, New Delhi, 19th June, 2026: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued notices to several food businesses, including Bikanervala, Marico Limited, and Param Dairy, over alleged misleading product claims, labelling violations, and consumer complaints.
In a post on social media, FSSAI stated that the notices were issued to multiple food business operators (FBOs) for alleged violations of provisions under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The concerns include misleading brand names, trade names, product claims, incorrect or inadequate labelling, and other issues raised by consumers.
The regulator has directed the companies concerned to take corrective measures and ensure compliance with food safety and labelling regulations.
The action underscores FSSAI's ongoing efforts to strengthen consumer protection and ensure that food products marketed in India adhere to prescribed standards regarding packaging, labelling, and advertising claims.
