FSSAI suspends licence of VKC Nuts and CHHEDA Specialities Foods for breaching hygiene, pest control norms

Business To Business, New Delhi, 08 August, 2026:   The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has suspended the licences of VKC Nuts Pvt Ltd and CHHEDA Specialities Foods Pvt Ltd over serious violations related to hygiene and pest control.
In a social media post on Saturday, FSSAI said the action was part of its continuing enforcement drive aimed at protecting consumer health.
VKC Nuts
The licence of Uttar Pradesh-based VKC Nuts was suspended following an inspection that found serious food safety violations at its premises, according to the regulator.
The violations reportedly included shortcomings related to hygiene and pest control.
FSSAI also said it would continue taking strict enforcement action across food sectors where violations threaten food safety and consumer health.
