FSSAI suspends licence of Westend Agro Products for altering expiry dates, other violations

Business To Business, New Delhi, 27th July, 2026:    The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Sunday suspended the licence of Westend Agro Products Pvt Ltd after detecting serious violations of food safety regulations, including the alleged alteration of manufacturing and expiry dates on multiple products.
In a post on social media, the food regulator said the company's licence was suspended following serious violations observed during an inspection of its food business premises.
According to FSSAI, the action was initiated after it received a complaint alleging alteration of manufacturing and packing dates, fraudulent re-labelling, and the sale of misbranded food products at the facility.
The regulator said the inspection confirmed significant non-compliance with food safety norms, prompting the suspension of the company's licence.
FSSAI reiterated its commitment to enforcing food safety standards and said stringent action would be taken against food businesses found violating regulatory requirements to safeguard consumer interests.
