Business To Business, New Delhi, 01th August, 2026: India's gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections rose 15.4 per cent year-on-year to over Rs 2.11 lakh crore in July 2026, driven by higher tax receipts from domestic transactions and imports.
Gross GST collections had stood at Rs 1.83 lakh crore in July 2025, while the mop-up in June 2026 was around Rs 1.95 lakh crore.
According to official data, Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) collections during July amounted to Rs 39,835 crore.
State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collections stood at Rs 47,881 crore, while Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) revenue exceeded Rs 1.23 lakh crore.
The increase in GST collections reflects sustained economic activity, with stronger revenues from both domestic transactions and imports contributing to the robust year-on-year growth in indirect tax receipts.
