Guar gum futures rise on firm demand

Business To Business, New Delhi, 02 January, 2026: Guar gum prices rose by 3 percent, reaching Rs 11,862 per quintal in futures trading, as speculators expanded their positions in response to strong spot demand.
 
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts set for January delivery increased by Rs 353, or 3.07 percent, to Rs 11,862 per quintal, with an open interest of 23,335 lots.
 
The previous session had concluded at Rs 11,509 per quintal. Analysts noted that traders, influenced by a robust physical market trend, increased their investments, contributing to the rise in guar gum prices.
