Guwahati airport's Terminal 2 among 'most beautiful' as per Prix Versailles list

Business To Business, Guwahati, 15th June, 2026:   Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport has earned global recognition after its Terminal 2 was named among the World's Most Beautiful Airports for 2026 by Prix Versailles.
According to a statement from the airport's management, the Guwahati airport is one of only two Indian airports to feature in the prestigious list of the world's top seven most beautiful airports.
The other Indian airport included is Navi Mumbai International Airport, which is also managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, the country's largest private airport operator.
The Prix Versailles awards recognize outstanding architecture, design, sustainability, and cultural integration in infrastructure projects around the world. Airports selected for the list are evaluated on factors such as:

  • Passenger experience
  • Innovation in design
  • Environmental considerations
  • Reflection of local culture and heritage
Located in Guwahati, the airport serves as the primary aviation gateway to India's Northeast and plays a crucial role in connecting the region with major domestic and international destinations.
