Business To Business, New Delhi, 07th July, 2026: India and Indonesia on Tuesday signed 14 agreements to expand bilateral cooperation across a wide range of strategic sectors, including critical minerals, steel supply chains, maritime security, pharmaceuticals, education, outer space, research and innovation, telecommunications and food security.
Among the key outcomes of the visit was an agreement on cooperation in the field of minerals and steel supply chain technology, reflecting the two countries' shared commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience and collaboration in critical industrial sectors.
The agreements were signed against the backdrop of increasing geopolitical uncertainties and the growing importance of securing reliable supply chains, enhancing technological partnerships and deepening strategic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on an official visit to Indonesia from July 6 to 8, witnessed the exchange of the agreements alongside Indonesian leaders, according to an official statement issued on Tuesday.
The pact on minerals and steel supply chain technology is expected to facilitate closer collaboration in exploration, processing, value addition and technology exchange, while supporting the development of resilient supply chains for critical minerals and the steel industry.
In addition to industrial cooperation, the agreements seek to strengthen collaboration in maritime security, healthcare, education, scientific research, space technology, digital communications and food security, underscoring the expanding scope of the India-Indonesia strategic partnership.
The wide-ranging agreements are expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral ties, reinforce economic and technological cooperation, and contribute to greater regional stability and sustainable development as both countries deepen engagement across multiple sectors.
