Business To Business, New Delhi, 23rd June, 2026: India and the United States on Tuesday held high-level trade negotiations aimed at advancing a proposed bilateral trade agreement and resolving issues arising from recent changes in US tariff policy.
The talks took place in New Delhi between Piyush Goyal and Jamieson Greer.
Also part of the US delegation was Sergio Gor.
Focus on Interim Trade Pact
Both sides are seeking to conclude an interim trade agreement before July 24, when Washington's temporary 10% tariff on imports from trading partners is scheduled to expire.
The discussions are aimed at recalibrating elements of a broader trade framework that had been negotiated earlier but was affected by subsequent changes in US tariff policy.
Goyal Welcomes US Delegation
In a post on X, Goyal said:
