ITC Hotels targets 250 properties, over 22,000 keys in next five years: Chairman

Business To Business New Delhi, 06 August, 2026:   ITC Hotels plans to expand its operating portfolio to 250 hotels with more than 22,000 keys over the next five years, backed by a strong development pipeline, Chairman Sanjiv Puri said on Thursday.
Addressing the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM), Puri said ITC Hotels will continue to follow its asset-right growth strategy, which focuses on balancing investments in owned properties with expansion through management contracts and acquisitions.
Expansion roadmap

  • Target: 250 operating hotels with over 22,000 keys in the next five years.
  • Current development pipeline: 78 hotels comprising more than 8,000 keys.
Growth strategy
Puri said the company will:
  • Continue investing in promising hospitality opportunities.
  • Expand its footprint through management contracts aligned with its strategic objectives.
  • Pursue select acquisitions where they support long-term growth.
  • Maintain its asset-right approach to optimize capital allocation while scaling operations.
The expansion plan reflects ITC Hotels' strategy to strengthen its presence across India's hospitality sector while growing efficiently through a mix of owned, managed and acquired properties.
