The foundation stone for the project was laid by Yudhvir Sethi on Monday.
Speaking at the event, Sethi said the redevelopment would usher in a new era for the market by providing modern facilities for both vendors and customers.
Key Objectives of the Project
The redevelopment plan aims to:

  • Modernize market infrastructure
  • Improve accessibility and pedestrian movement
  • Enhance facilities for traders and shoppers
  • Create a cleaner and more organized market environment
  • Strengthen the market's role as a key commercial hub in Jammu
The Parade vegetable market is a prominent commercial center in the city's core and serves a large number of residents and traders daily.
Also present at the ceremony were Devansh Yadav and other officials associated with the implementation of the project.
The initiative forms part of broader urban development efforts under the Smart City framework, with a focus on upgrading public infrastructure, improving civic amenities, and enhancing the quality of life for residents and businesses in Jammu.
