MiPhi to ramp up memory module production capacity by 10x this year, eyes Rs 1,000 cr revenue

Business To Business, New Delhi , 26th June, 2026:   Semiconductor company MiPhi plans to increase its manufacturing capacity for enterprise memory modules by tenfold this year, targeting a revenue potential of around Rs 1,000 crore amid rising demand for data storage solutions.
MiPhi, a joint venture between Taiwan-based storage chip maker Phison and Indian electronics company Micromax, currently has the capacity to manufacture 30,000 enterprise memory modules, including solid-state drives (SSDs), per month.
The company aims to expand this capacity to 3 lakh units per month during the year, co-founder Rahul Sharma said.
The joint venture was announced in December 2024 and began commercial sales of its memory modules around three months ago. According to Sharma, the company has also initiated product testing with several large enterprise customers as it seeks to expand its presence in the enterprise storage market.
The planned capacity expansion is expected to position MiPhi to capitalise on the growing demand for high-performance storage solutions driven by data centres, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and enterprise digital transformation.
The company's expansion also aligns with India's broader push to strengthen domestic semiconductor and electronics manufacturing capabilities under its self-reliance and technology development initiatives.
