Network Planning Group under PM Gati Shakti evaluates key infra projects

Business To Business, New Delhi, 21 March 2026: The Network Planning Group (NPG), operating under the PM Gati Shakti initiative, reviewed several major infrastructure proposals in its 110th meeting.
A total of 6 projects across different sectors were assessed:

  • 2 Rail projects ????
  • 2 Metro projects ????
  • 2 Road & highway projects ????️
The evaluation was based on core PM Gati Shakti principles:
  • Integrated multimodal connectivity (linking rail, road, metro, etc.)
  • Last-mile connectivity to economic & social hubs
  • “Whole of Government” approach (coordination across ministries)
These projects aim to:
  • Improve logistics efficiency
  • Reduce travel and transport time
  • Enhance connectivity to key regions
  • Deliver socio-economic benefits (jobs, trade, accessibility)
The initiative reflects India’s push toward better-planned, interconnected infrastructure, reducing bottlenecks and making movement of goods and people faster and more efficient across the country.
