Business To Business, Mumbai, 02 January, 2026: The equity benchmark index Nifty reached its all-time high before concluding 182 points higher on Friday, while the BSE Sensex surged by 573 points, driven by robust buying in the power, banking, and metal sectors.
Traders noted that continuous capital inflow from domestic institutional investors, alongside a significant rally in Asian markets, also bolstered the domestic stock market.
Demonstrating a strong trend, the 30-share BSE Sensex increased by 573.41 points, equivalent to 0.67 percent, to close at 85,762.01. Throughout the day, it rose by 623.67 points, or 0.73 percent, reaching 85,812.27.
