Odisha CM launches 'GO-EAST' platform to boost industrialisation

Business To Business, Bhubaneshwar, 26th June, 2026:   Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced the launch of the GO-EAST (Eastern Investment Accelerator & Special Taskforce) platform, a new initiative aimed at accelerating industrialisation and promoting balanced economic development across eastern India.
Speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region Council Meeting, held for the first time in Bhubaneswar, Majhi said the state's growth strategy would be driven by regional cooperation and shared economic strength.
The chief minister interacted with around 55 industry representatives from eastern region states, including Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, and outlined Odisha's vision for fostering greater investment and industrial collaboration.
Majhi said GO-EAST will function as a dedicated facilitation framework under the state's single-window clearance system to attract and fast-track investments from eastern and northeastern India.
The platform will offer priority facilitation, faster regulatory approvals, dedicated relationship management and structured issue resolution for strategic industrial projects originating from the region.
According to the chief minister, the initiative is designed to improve the ease of doing business, encourage cross-state industrial partnerships and position eastern India as a major driver of the country's manufacturing and economic growth.
The launch of GO-EAST reflects Odisha's efforts to strengthen its investment ecosystem while fostering regional integration and creating new opportunities for industrial development across eastern and northeastern India.
