Odisha govt panel begins probe into 'circulation' of medical PG exam question paper

Business To Business, Bhubaneshwar, 05 August, 2026:   A three-member committee constituted by the Government of Odisha on Wednesday began investigating allegations that a medical postgraduate (PG) examination question paper was circulated during the examination.
The committee visited Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital (MKCG Medical College and Hospital) in Berhampur, where the alleged circulation of the question paper reportedly took place during exam hours.
The inquiry committee comprises officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department:

  • Bijay Kumar Dash
  • Bijay Kumar Mishra
  • Anil Kumar Sahu
During the visit, the committee held discussions with senior faculty members, including:
  • Hari Krishna Dalai
  • Sudeepa Dash
The investigation is aimed at determining the facts surrounding the alleged malpractice, including whether the examination paper was improperly circulated and whether any violations of examination procedures occurred. At this stage, the allegations remain under investigation, and no official findings have been announced.
