Business To Business, New Delhi, 16th May 2026: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited on Saturday reported a nearly 10 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,546.33 crore for the March quarter, mainly due to a higher deferred tax credit.
The state-owned power transmission company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 4,142.87 crore in the corresponding quarter ended March 31, 2025, according to a regulatory filing.
The filing showed that the company recorded a deferred tax credit of Rs 5,179.80 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 19.98 crore in the same period a year earlier.
However, total income declined to Rs 11,970.69 crore in the quarter from Rs 12,590.80 crore a year ago.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is one of India’s largest power transmission utilities and operates a major portion of the country’s interstate electricity transmission network.
