Piyush Goyal and UK-India FTA Negotiation Teams Honoured at 10th Anniversary of IGF UK-India Awards

Business To Business, New Delhi, 27^th June, 2026:   Piyush Goyal and the joint UK-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiating teams were honoured with the Exceptional Leadership in Elevating UK-India Ties award at the UK-India Awards 2026.
The awards ceremony was held on June 25 at The Peninsula London during the 10th anniversary celebrations of UK-India Week, organised by India Global Forum.
The recognition acknowledged the leadership and efforts that culminated in the landmark UK-India Free Trade Agreement, which was ratified earlier this year and is expected to deepen economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The award honoured both Goyal and the joint negotiating teams from India and the United Kingdom for their role in concluding one of the most significant bilateral trade agreements between the two nations.
The UK-India FTA is aimed at expanding bilateral trade and investment, improving market access for businesses, strengthening supply chains and enhancing collaboration across sectors including goods, services, technology and innovation.
The recognition comes as India and the United Kingdom continue to deepen their strategic partnership through closer economic engagement and expanded commercial cooperation.
