Poonawalla fund, others invest Rs 230 cr in critical mineral-focused Lohum: Ambit

Business To Business, Mumbai, 28th July, 2026:   Poonawalla Vision Fund-1 (PVF1) and a group of family offices have invested Rs 230 crore in Lohum Cleantech, wealth management firm Ambit Global Private Client announced on Monday.
Lohum is among the world's largest sustainable critical minerals platforms outside China, and the investment comes amid growing global concerns over securing reliable supplies of critical minerals.
According to an official statement, Lohum operates across battery recycling, raw material recovery, and energy transition technologies, positioning it to benefit from rising demand for sustainable battery materials in India and international markets.
The investment is expected to support the company's growth as it expands its capabilities in the circular economy and strengthens the supply chain for critical minerals used in clean energy technologies.
The funding also reflects increasing investor interest in businesses focused on sustainability, battery recycling and the energy transition, sectors that are expected to play a key role in the global shift toward cleaner technologies.
