Business To Business, Gwalior, 04 August, 2026:   Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday invited telecom companies to establish operations in India's first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior, with the aim of creating a comprehensive telecom manufacturing ecosystem.
Addressing an industry event alongside Mohan Yadav, Scindia said India has progressed from being a nation driven primarily by telecom services to one poised to become a global hub for telecom products and manufacturing.
Earlier in the day, Scindia co-chaired the second Investors' Meet for the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Mumbai, where the project secured fresh investment commitments worth Rs 2,000 crore.
Key highlights of the initiative include:

  • Rs 2,000 crore in new investment commitments.
  • Participation by around 18 leading companies from across the telecom ecosystem.
  • Expected creation of nearly 4,000 employment opportunities.
  • Development of an integrated ecosystem for telecom manufacturing, supporting India's ambitions to strengthen domestic production and enhance its global competitiveness in the sector.
The Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone is envisioned as India's first dedicated hub for telecom manufacturing, aimed at attracting investment, boosting local production, and generating skilled employment.
