Business To Business, New Delhi, 27th July, 2026: Non-bank lender Shriram Finance plans to double the share of its gold loan portfolio to 5 per cent of its overall loan book over the next three years, as it sharpens its focus on the secured retail lending segment.
The company currently derives around 2.5 per cent of its total loan book from gold loans, Executive Vice Chairman Umesh Revankar said.
"Around 2.5 per cent of our loan book comes from the gold loan segment now. We want to grow it to 5 per cent in the next three years," Revankar said.
In addition to expanding its gold loan business, the lender also aims to increase the share of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in its overall loan portfolio to 20 per cent over the medium term.
The strategy reflects Shriram Finance's efforts to diversify its lending portfolio by increasing exposure to secured loans and the MSME segment, which the company sees as key growth areas.
