Tata Motors inaugurates vehicle scrapping facility in Patna
Business To Business, New Delhi, 04 August, 2026: Tata Motors on Tuesday announced the opening of an advanced vehicle scrapping facility in Patna, expanding its network for environmentally responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles.
The new Re.Wi.Re (Recycle With Respect) facility:
- Has an annual vehicle scrapping capacity of 15,000 vehicles.
- Will be operated by the Kalahanu Bothra Group.
- Is designed to safely and sustainably dismantle end-of-life vehicles in line with India's vehicle scrappage policy.
With the launch of the Patna facility, Tata Motors now operates
12 vehicle scrapping centres across the country, located in:
- Jaipur
- Bhubaneswar
- Surat
- Chandigarh
- Delhi-NCR
- Pune
- Guwahati
- Raipur
- Lucknow
- Kolkata
- Ahmedabad
- Patna
The expansion strengthens Tata Motors' nationwide recycling infrastructure and supports the circular economy by promoting scientific vehicle recycling, resource recovery, and environmentally sound disposal of ageing vehicles.
