Business To Business, New Delhi, 5th May, 2026: The Union government on Tuesday approved a fresh round of the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme with an outlay of ₹18,100 crore to support MSMEs and airlines affected by the ongoing West Asia conflict.
The scheme—ECLGS 5.0—is expected to facilitate additional credit flow of about ₹2.55 lakh crore, including ₹5,000 crore earmarked for the aviation sector. The decision was cleared by the Union Cabinet.
Briefing the media, Ashwini Vaishnaw said the expanded scheme would provide crucial financial relief to businesses facing disruptions due to the crisis.
