Business To Business, Kolkata, 01th August, 2026: West Bengal's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,564 crore in July, while registering a 9.5 per cent rise over the previous month, according to official data released on Friday.
The state collected Rs 5,564 crore in July 2026, compared with Rs 5,471 crore in July 2025 and Rs 5,082 crore in June 2026.
The July performance marks the second consecutive month of annual growth in GST collections since the BJP government assumed office in the state in late May.
In June, the state's GST collections had risen 1 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,082 crore, indicating a continued improvement in tax revenues.
The latest figures reflect steady growth in GST collections, supported by higher economic activity and improved tax compliance during the period.
