28 Indians onboard Mozambique-flagged vessel safe after attack in Iranian territorial waters

Business To Business, Dubai, 25th July, 2026:   A Mozambique-flagged liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker carrying 28 Indian crew members came under attack in Iranian territorial waters on Friday, prompting a swift response from Indian authorities.
The Indian Embassy in Iran said it was aware of the incident involving the vessel, DISHA, and confirmed that all Indian nationals on board were safe.
In a statement posted on X, the embassy said it had been in close contact with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation.
"The Embassy has been in close contact with the relevant authorities and has confirmed that all Indian crew members are safe," the statement said.
While the nature of the attack and the identity of those responsible were not immediately disclosed, the incident comes amid heightened security concerns in the region.
The Indian Embassy said it is continuing to monitor developments and remains in touch with the authorities regarding the safety and welfare of the crew.
