Business To Business, Dhaka, 28th May, 2026: Authorities in Bangladesh have reportedly intervened to stop the sacrifice of a rare albino buffalo named “Donald Trump,” instead deciding to preserve the animal at the national zoo in the capital, Dhaka.
The 700-kg buffalo, known for its unusual blond, flowing hair reminiscent of US President Donald Trump, was taken into official custody just hours before it was scheduled to be sacrificed during Eid celebrations.
Police said the animal was moved following a government directive, and its owner, Moniruz Zaman, stated that officials informed him of the decision and the buffalo was handed over without dispute.
Authorities have indicated that the animal will now be preserved at the national zoo, where it is expected to be kept under care rather than used for ceremonial sacrifice during the festival period.
