Business To Business, Kathmandu, 29th May, 2026: President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday called upon political parties, civil society groups, and other stakeholders in Nepal to work together toward building a cultured, prosperous, and democratic society in line with the country’s Constitution.
Speaking at a special Republic Day ceremony at Tundikhel, Paudel said that achieving good governance, development, and prosperity remains a key national priority.
Nepal marked its 19th Republic Day commemorating the historic decision of the Constituent Assembly on May 28, 2008, which formally abolished the country’s 240-year-old monarchy and declared Nepal a federal democratic republic.
The President stressed that collective efforts are necessary to fulfill the aspirations of the Constitution and strengthen democratic institutions in the country.
