Business To Business, Kathmandu, 21st May, 2026: India on Thursday gifted a special variety of sandalwood to the government of Nepal for use at the revered Pashupatinath Temple on the outskirts of Kathmandu.
The temple, located on the banks of the Bagmati River, is one of the holiest Hindu shrines and attracts devotees from both India and Nepal.
According to officials of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, more than 40 kilograms of sandalwood were sent by Amit Shah for rituals related to the worship of the Shree Yantra at the temple.
The gesture reflects the longstanding religious and cultural ties between India and Nepal.
