Business To Business, Beijing, 28th June, 2026: Officials of the Indian Embassy in Beijing have met representatives of China's state-run Xinhua News Agency as India and China continue efforts to normalise bilateral relations.
The meeting took place between Shweta Singh, Minister at the Indian Embassy in Beijing, and Wang Jianxin, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Department of Xinhua.
In a post on X on Sunday, the Indian Embassy said the interaction was held at Xinhua's headquarters in Beijing on June 24.
"On 24 June 2026, Embassy officials met representatives of Xinhua News Agency at its headquarters in Beijing and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest," the Embassy said, without disclosing further details of the discussions.
The meeting comes amid ongoing diplomatic engagement between India and China aimed at improving bilateral ties and enhancing dialogue following efforts by both countries to stabilise their relationship.
No additional information was provided by either side regarding the specific issues discussed during the meeting.
