Business Aajkal, Jerusalem, 02 March 2026: Vowing to deliver a “decisive blow” to Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he has instructed Israeli forces to continue escalating their offensive over Tehran.
The escalation follows the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who was killed on Saturday in what has been described as a coordinated airstrike by Israel and the United States. His death was confirmed on Sunday, marking a dramatic turning point in the regional conflict.
Calling the strike “unprovoked and illegal,” Tehran vowed revenge. In retaliation, Iran began launching missiles at Israel as well as at targets in Gulf Arab states believed to host U.S. military assets.
The situation represents one of the most serious escalations in the Middle East in recent years, raising concerns of a broader regional war involving multiple state actors.
