Pak Hindu rights body demands implementation of constitutional guarantees for minorities

Business To Business, Peshawar, 03 August, 2026:   A Hindu rights organisation in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced an outreach campaign to press the provincial government to fully implement constitutional safeguards for religious minorities.
The announcement was made after Haroon Sarab Dayal was unanimously elected president of the All Balmik Hindu Community Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (ABHCKP) on Saturday.
Dayal said the Hindu community continues to face challenges related to:

  • Legal protection.
  • Equal opportunities.
  • Effective implementation of minority protection mechanisms.
He urged the provincial government to strengthen measures to safeguard the rights of minorities in line with the guarantees provided under Pakistan's Constitution.
The 55-year-old Dayal also serves as a member of the Pakistan Hindu Temple Management Committee, which functions under Pakistan's federal Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The planned outreach campaign aims to engage with authorities and the public to advocate for stronger enforcement of constitutional protections and greater inclusion and security for minority communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
