Pak issues summons to Imran Khan’s sister after controversial remarks on army, conflict with India

Business To Business, Islamabad, 20th July, 2026:    Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned Noreen Niazi, sister of former prime minister Imran Khan, over allegations that she disseminated "false, offensive and inflammatory" content on social media aimed at defaming state institutions and promoting what authorities described as "fake narratives".
The summons follows the circulation of an interview in which Niazi claimed that the India-Pakistan military confrontation in May 2025 resulted from alleged collusion between Pakistan's military leadership and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and was orchestrated to bolster the image of the armed forces.
The agency issued the notice on Saturday, directing Niazi to appear at its Islamabad office on Monday to record her statement.
