Pakistan and Canada should expand ties in multiple areas: PM Sharif

Business To Business, Islamabad, 21st July, 2026:    Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said Pakistan and Canada should strengthen bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, agri-foods, vaccine manufacturing, renewable energy, and the automobile and auto parts industries.
Sharif made the remarks after Pakistan and Canada signed an agreement to regulate the import of canola to Pakistan following talks between Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Canadian counterpart, Anita Anand.
Anand, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, also called on Prime Minister Sharif at the Prime Minister House, where the two sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral relations.
