Pakistan, Kuwait urge US and Iran to honour peace agreement amid fresh strikes

Business To Business, Islamabad, 19th July, 2026:   Pakistan and Kuwait on Saturday called on the United States and Iran to uphold the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last month and refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions amid renewed fighting over the Strait of Hormuz.
The appeal was made during a telephone conversation between Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, according to a statement issued by Pakistan's Foreign Office.
The discussion took place as the United States and Iran exchanged fresh strikes on Saturday, with attacks targeting military and infrastructure sites amid escalating hostilities around the Strait of Hormuz.
