Business To Business, New Delhi, 29th June, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday concluded his three-day state visit to Seychelles, during which he held wide-ranging talks with President Patrick Herminie aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and advancing a shared vision for a secure, stable and prosperous Indian Ocean region.
Modi was seen off at the airport by Seychelles Vice-President Sebastien Pillay and members of the Indian diaspora.
During the visit, the two leaders reviewed the full spectrum of India-Seychelles cooperation and expanded collaboration in areas including defence, maritime security, digital payments, healthcare, space, agriculture, education and development partnership.
India and Seychelles also unveiled 19 outcomes, including agreements on extradition, cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space, the introduction of UPI-based digital payments, an umbrella line of credit, and preliminary preparations for a new Seychelles National Hospital.
Reflecting on the visit after his departure, Modi wrote on X: "My visit to Seychelles has been filled with substantive outcomes that will boost the India-Seychelles friendship."
The visit reaffirmed India's commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Seychelles and enhancing cooperation in the Indian Ocean region through shared security, connectivity and sustainable development initiatives.
