PM Modi holds talks with Swedish counterpart Kristersson

Business To Business, Gothenburg, Sweden, 17th May 2026: Narendra Modi on Sunday held wide-ranging talks with Ulf Kristersson focusing on trade, technology, defence and several other key areas of cooperation.
Modi arrived in Sweden earlier in the day for a two-day visit and was received by Kristersson at Gothenburg Airport in a special gesture.
During delegation-level talks, the two sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral ties and explored new avenues to expand cooperation and strengthen trade relations between India and Sweden.
Bilateral trade between the two countries reached USD 7.75 billion in 2025, according to official figures discussed during the meeting.
This is Modi’s second visit to Sweden after his 2018 trip for the first-ever India-Nordic Summit.
