Business To Business, Rome, 20th May, 2026: Narendra Modi was on Wednesday conferred with the prestigious FAO Agricola Medal by the Food and Agriculture Organization in recognition of his contributions to food security, sustainable agriculture and rural development.
Modi, who is visiting Italy as part of the final leg of his five-nation tour, received the honour from Qu Dongyu at the FAO headquarters in Rome.
The prime minister said the award reflected India’s continued commitment to food security, sustainable development and the efforts of people associated with the agriculture sector.
The recognition comes amid India’s increasing emphasis on agricultural innovation, nutrition security and sustainable farming practices on global platforms.
