Business To Business, Lahore, 25 September 2025: Religious zealots, led by members of a radical Islamist faction, launched an assault on the residences and businesses of Ahmadis in response to the burial of an Ahmadi woman in Pakistan’s Punjab province, an organization representing the minority community reported on Thursday.
According to Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Pakistan (JAP), the incident transpired earlier this week in Piru Chak, Sialkot District, approximately 130 kilometers from Lahore.
The Ahmadi woman, Qudsia Tabassum, aged 55, passed away this week. As her body was being taken to the burial site in Piru Chak, a mob of Muslim extremists arrived and obstructed the funeral proceedings, the report stated.
