Business To Business, Kathmandu, 13 September 2025: On Saturday, the United Nations extended a heartfelt congratulatory message to Nepal’s newly elected Prime Minister, Sushila Karki, who has been entrusted with steering an interim government amidst a week of tumultuous anti-government protests.
Hanna Singer-Hamdy, the UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal, articulated, “At this critical juncture, the United Nations stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal in their aspirations for peace, justice, transparency, accountability, and progress.”
She also acknowledged the significant contributions of the President, the Chief of Army Staff, and the emerging ‘Gen Z’ youth leaders, observing that their dedicated efforts “facilitated this vital transition.”
