Business To Business, Singapore, 30th May, 2026: Rajesh Kumar Singh on Saturday said that a deal for the export of the BrahMos missile to Vietnam has already been signed, while a similar agreement with Indonesia is in its final stages.
Speaking in Singapore on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue, Singh said that both countries had been engaged in discussions regarding procurement of the missile system.
"My understanding is that with both Indonesia and with Vietnam, the deal is in the final stages and, in fact, for Vietnam, I understand that it has already been signed, probably not publicly announced, but it's already been signed," he said.
The BrahMos missile, jointly developed by India and Russia, is one of India's most prominent defence exports. Export agreements with Southeast Asian nations are viewed as an important element of India's growing defence cooperation and strategic engagement in the Indo-Pacific region.
