4 dead, 17 hospitalised after under-construction Kolkata warehouse collapses, several remain trapped
Business To Business, Kolkata, 24th June, 2026: A three-storey under-construction warehouse collapsed in the Taratala area of Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon, killing four people and leaving 17 others hospitalised, according to a senior official of the West Bengal health department.
The collapse trapped several people beneath the debris, triggering a large-scale rescue operation.
Rescue Operations Underway
Suvendu Adhikari visited the accident site and said that approximately 18 more people were believed to be trapped under the rubble.
Rescue efforts are being carried out jointly by:
