Business To Business, Patna, 22nd May, 2026: The Anti-Terrorist Squad of Bihar Police (ATS) has arrested a resident of Muzaffarpur for allegedly having links with a Pakistan-based arms smuggling network, officials said on Friday.
The accused, identified as Md Mustaffa, is a resident of Rattanpur village in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. Security personnel reportedly seized several pieces of digital evidence from his possession during the operation.
According to an ATS statement, Mustaffa was arrested following specific intelligence inputs regarding his alleged association with the gang of Pakistan-based arms smuggler Shahzad Bhatti and its associates.
Officials said further investigation is underway to examine the nature of the alleged links, communication records, and possible connections to illegal arms trafficking activities.
