Business To Business, New Delhi, 23rd July, 2026: A special court on Thursday remanded an Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) executive and the director of a private hospitality company to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody until July 27 in connection with a bribery case linked to the clearance of railway catering bills.
The accused have been identified as Tridib Banerjee, a senior executive at IRCTC's West Zone office in Mumbai, and Amar Thakkar, director of Kolkata-based Araha Hospitality Private Limited.
According to the CBI, Banerjee allegedly accepted bribes in return for clearing pending bills related to the supply of meals on trains operating on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad and Delhi–Lucknow routes.
