Complaint against Noida teen over abusive remarks against PM withdrawn, family not at home
Business To Business, New Delhi, 04 August, 2026: The complainant in the case against a 15-year-old girl over allegedly abusive remarks directed at Narendra Modi during a CJP protest has withdrawn her complaint, stating that she no longer wishes to pursue the matter.
Smriti Singh, who had lodged the complaint and resides in Vasundhara, told the media that:
- She decided to withdraw the complaint because the teenager had apologised.
- She also said that the Prime Minister had forgiven the girl.
According to Singh:
- The Zero FIR was registered on July 29 at the Noida Expressway Police Station based on her complaint.
- The complaint was initially filed against eight girls.
- The 15-year-old from Noida was the first among those named.

Zero FIR allows police to register a complaint regardless of where the alleged offence occurred, after which it can be transferred to the police station having territorial jurisdiction.
While the complainant has stated that she has withdrawn her complaint, any decision on the continuation or closure of the criminal proceedings will depend on the applicable legal process and the authorities handling the case.
