Business To Business, Ranchi, 14th May 2026: The Election Commission of India will undertake a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Jharkhand, covering nearly 2.64 crore voters through door-to-door verification, officials said on Thursday.
The SIR exercise is part of the third phase of the poll panel’s nationwide revision campaign spanning 16 states and three Union Territories.
According to officials, the exercise will formally commence on June 30 with booth-level officers (BLOs) conducting house-to-house verification of voters.
The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on October 7 following the completion of the revision process.
The exercise is aimed at updating voter records, removing discrepancies and ensuring greater accuracy and transparency in the electoral database ahead of future elections.
